Programme note: This programme does not register you to write the supplementary examination. You must register separately through your provincial Department of Basic Education or the examination centre where you originally wrote. The Continuum prepares you for the exam — you register through the official channel.

The 12-Week Structure

Every week is purposeful. Every topic is weighted by marks.

Topics are sequenced by examination weighting — highest-mark topics first, so you secure the most available marks even if life interrupts your final weeks.

Why this works

More than a past paper dump.

01
Topic instruction first

For each topic, you receive focused teaching content before you see a past paper question. Understanding precedes practice — not the other way around.

02
Mark-weighted sequencing

Topics are taught in order of examination weighting. If you only have 8 weeks instead of 12, you will have covered the topics worth the most marks first.

03
Exam technique coaching

Weeks 11–12 teach exam strategy: how to allocate time per question type, what markers look for in worked solutions, and how to manage examination anxiety.

04
Timed past paper simulation

Three full past papers are completed under timed conditions in the final two weeks — replicating the exact experience of the supplementary examination.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

When are the NSC supplementary exams in South Africa?

Supplementary exams typically run in May/June for learners who did not achieve the required results in November. Exact dates are published by the Department of Basic Education each year.

How do I register to rewrite matric maths?

Register through the examination body you originally wrote through — usually your provincial DBE. Contact the examination centre or the school where you originally sat the exam.

What topics come up in the supplementary maths exam?

All NSC topics can appear. The highest-weighted areas are Functions (35 marks, Paper 1), Euclidean Geometry (40+ marks, Paper 2), Trigonometry (40 marks, Paper 2), Algebra (25 marks), and Statistics (20 marks). Our programme prioritises these first.

Can I pass matric maths in 12 weeks?

With consistent daily effort and targeted preparation, significant improvement is very achievable — especially for learners who failed by a narrow margin. The programme focuses on the topics that carry the most marks.

How is this different from just doing past papers?

Past papers show where you went wrong. This programme teaches you why, then trains you to apply it correctly. Concept instruction + practice questions + timed exam simulation — in that order.

When does the programme open?

The 12-Week Rewrite Rescue opens 15 January 2027 and runs until end of June, aligned with the supplementary exam window.

Can I still enrol in February?

Yes. Enrolment stays open through February. Starting in February still gives you sufficient time to complete the curriculum and timed paper practice.

Is the programme fully online?

Yes. Entirely online, no fixed session times. Work through the weekly structure at your own pace.
